Hey All, I’m Amira

.

I’m a creative professional with experience in agency and in-house team environments.

While I relish the opportunity to execute aesthetically pleasing designs, I recognize that the role I fill is that of a problem-solver. My career has given me opportunities to solve both print and digital problems for newsstands, websites, Twitter feeds, and more. My biggest takeaway? Creating beautiful things for yourself is great, but opportunities to create work powerful enough to communicate with and touch others, now that’s why I do what I do.

What drives me? Humanity.

I’m a true empath and find the most fulfilling work to be that which is rooted in human stories, insights, and emotions. As I dive deeper into the world of art direction, I look forward to bringing my personal perspective and lived experiences to the way I create, the stories I tell, and the audiences I touch.

A bit of me?

The hot gos

  • Hate bugs but I love nature… Water, trees(climbing them), parks, grass. My biggest fear about city life was being away from precious green things, but it wasn’t so bad. I also ended up bringing green things inside with my plant collection of 15+.

  • Since I mentioned water… I’m on an ongoing journey to learn how to swim. Don’t worry about it though. I used to tell people I go to the beach to “try not to drown” so this is an upgrade.

  • I’m a lover of cats, dancing, all things Caribbean culture, learning new drink recipes to up my at-home bartending game, and spending time with my loved ones. I’m an introvert with extraverted tendencies, a small but strong circle type of person, pretty much just a wonderful libra always seeking some sort of balance.

  • Lastly, yes, the image behind these words is me, upsidedown, in a giant pink ball pit. I just knew you were dying to know.
